It's not often you get to perform in the British Premiere of a Cole Porter musical - and we were very lucky to
be able to do so. This was one of the few left unperformed in this country,
which is a surprise as it includes such great numbers as
Get out of Town, and the far more famous
My Heart Belongs to Daddy.
A comic look at the clash between capitalism and communism,
in Abigail Morris' adaptation of the book it took on a slightly more sinister 'cold war' feel.
I played Sozanov, a Russian agent with facial hair inspired by Lenin.
